not dark yet

i bought these 2 oz. glasses at ikea to use for juice at the table.  my kids were getting a bit too zealous about juice or soda & i was having a hard time remembering how much they’d had throughout the day.  i don’t see the need to completely nix juice, so i thought this would be the easiest way to dole it out in doses.  it never occurred to me that they were intended to be used as shot glasses (thanks, jay).

everyone says annabelle is a little copy of me…and i think jay finally got his own little twin.

vi loves to linger at the table. she takes forever to eat…and from what i hear from the historian in my family, so did i. according to legend, the timer was set at every meal that didn’t involve waffles, grilled cheese, or pbj. here we are at the table, after 45 minutes.

henry is getting baptized tomorrow. kate is coming, which is pretty great since she’s been at the baptism of our girls, as well, and has actually been the first person to know about each of our children. she let me sing harmonies on her album…i had no idea what i was doing.

i’m glad to be home early…to lie in bed & think about the day ahead.
